About a year had passed since the last time my little family attended a church service. The service times changed and now fit better into Ivy's schedule. Listening to the band play their instruments and the members of the church sing made me feel like I was back home. My daughter did not want them to stop playing. Between songs, she would sign, "music." Raising her with our Church family is so important to me. I want her to come to know the Lord, not just know of Him.
Pastor Gary left us with a very difficult question; who is the main character in your life? Just as he was saying, it is easy for a Christian to say God is the main character, I was thinking the exact same thing. But then he posed another question, do you just say God is the main character because it makes you feel better, or are you really a part of His story?
Ever since walking out of Church, this has been on my mind. I am a part of God's story and He truly is the number one character in my life. He has been my guiding light for the past two and a half years. He has opened opportunities for me and I have listened to His plan. This blog, I believe, is a part of His plan. God is opening up my ability to share with others His Word, His Grace, and His Love. Although Love Me Vegan is mainly about eating a plant-based, Vegan diet, this blog has a deeper rooting. Change and acceptance are not easy. We need a higher power than ourselves to turn our lives around, whether it be food choices, weight battles, personality issues, family conflict, addictions, and other aspects of our lives.
Our meetings are predestined. God has brought you to my blog to help change your life. To help you make changes. To give you strength. Our bodies are our temples. God created them to function properly with the correct nutrition. Proper nutrition helps not only our bodies, but our mental health, our energy levels, our relationships with others, and our temporary home, Earth.
Please continue in God's story with me. Let's follow His Word, live in His Plan, and put our TRUST in the Lord.
God loves you!
